Whether you're exploring vibrant coral reefs or just trying it for fun, this is your first step into a whole new world beneath the surface.

Step-by-Step of Discover Scuba Diving Program

1. Briefing & Introduction

Your instructor will explain:

• Basic dive theory and how scuba gear works

• Important safety rules and communication signals

• The plan for your dive and what to expect underwater

2. Equipment Fitting & Setup

You'll be fitted with:

• Wetsuit, mask, fins, BCD (buoyancy control device), regulator, and tank
  Your instructor will guide you in checking the gear and adjusting it for comfort.

3. Confined Water Skills Practice

In shallow water (pool or beach entry), you will learn and practice 3–4 basic skills:

• Breathing underwater through the regulator

• Regulator clearing

• Regulator recovery

• Mask clearing

• Equalizing pressure in your ears

This helps you feel safe and confident before going deeper.

4. Open Water Dive

Let’s dive!

• Your instructor will guide you on a shallow reef dive (maximum 12 meters / 40 feet).

• Enjoy colorful marine life, corals, and a new perspective of the ocean.

• Under close supervision, you'll experience the feeling of weightlessness and silent underwater exploration.

5. Post-Dive Debriefing & Certificate

• Discuss what you saw and experienced.

• Take photos and celebrate your first dive!

• Optionally, receive a DSD recognition certificate – not a license, but a great memory!

• If you loved it, this dive can count toward your PADI Open Water Diver course.

Good to Know:

• Minimum age: 10 years old (depending on the location and provider)

• You must be in good health (medical questionnaire provided)

• No swimming or diving experience is needed
